वन हमारी सम्पदा है जो हमें विविध प्रकार के उत्पादन जैसे इमारती लकड़ी जलावन की लकड़ी चारा फाइबर रेष जड़ीबूटियां सौन्दर्य प्रसंसन और अनेक प्रकार की सामग्री कच्चा मॉल प्रदान करता हैं जिसका उपयोग उद्योग में होता है अनेक विविध प्रकार के ाशधन धरी जिव और पक्षी जो वनो में रहते है उपयोगी सजीव संसाधन का काम करते है वन मृदा निर्माण जल संरक्षण और आक्सीजन के पुर्नउत्पादन में प्रमुख भूमिका निभाते है वृक्ष अपनी जिव मात्रा में (सीओ२ का योगीकरण करते है और वाष्पोत्सर्जन के द्वारा वे जल वायु को माध्यम स्टार पर बनाय रखते है क्या आप कल्पना क्र सकते है की अगर दुनिया में वन नहीं रहेंगे तो क्या होगा ये अनेक कार्य करते है जिन्हे प्रतक्ष्य रूप से देखा जा सकता है लेकिन कुछ कार्य ऐसे है जिन्हे प्रतक्ष्य रूप से नहीं देखा जा सकता है जैसे की वायु का शुद्धिकारन कार्बन सिंक व्यापक रूप से वनो द्वारा किय जाने वाले सभी कार्यो को तीन शीर्षकों में वर्गीकृत किया जा सकता है आर्थिक ,पारिस्थितिकीय और सामाजिक।

आर्थिक महत्व

वन पृथ्वी ग्रह पर उपलब्ध सबसे बड़ा नवीकरणीय संसाधन हैं। वे भोजन, पशु चारा और ईंधन सहित कई तरह की वस्तुएँ और सेवाएँ प्रदान करते हैं। लकड़ी का उपयोग घर, फर्नीचर, माचिस, हल, पुल और नाव बनाने के लिए किया जाता है। टैनिन, गोंद, मसाले, मोम, शहद, कस्तूरी और पशु चारा जैसे वन उत्पाद वनों के सभी जानवरों और पौधों की प्रजातियों द्वारा प्रदान किए जाते हैं। पेड़ों के फल, पत्ते, जड़ें और कंद वन में रहने वाली जनजातियों के लिए भोजन हैं। लकड़ी और बांस के गूदे का उपयोग कागज और रेयान बनाने के लिए किया जाता है।

Forest as a Resource Forests are our wealth which provide us with a wide variety of products such as timber, firewood, fodder, fibre, fibre, herbs, beauty products and a variety of raw materials which are used in industry. A wide variety of terrestrial animals and birds which live in forests serve as useful living resources. Forests play a major role in soil formation, water conservation and reproduction of oxygen. Trees fix CO2 in their living quantities and through transpiration they maintain the atmosphere and water at the medium level. Can you imagine what will happen if there are no forests in the world? They perform many functions which can be seen directly but there are some functions which cannot be seen directly such as purification of air, carbon sink. Broadly, all the functions performed by forests can be classified under three headings, economic, ecological and social.

Economic importance 

Economic importance   is the largest renewable resources available on the planet Earth. They provide many types of items and services including food, animal feed and fuel. Wood is used to make homes, furniture, matches, plows, bridges and boats. Forest products such as tannins, glue, spices, wax, honey, musk and animal fodder are provided by all animals and plant species of forests. The fruits, leaves, roots and tubers of trees are food for tribes living in the forest. Wood and bamboo pulp is used to make paper and rayon.
